Such an absolute pleasure working with Karmen for our family holiday photos two years in a row, and I can honestly say we couldn’t imagine going to anyone else. From the very first message, she has been nothing short of incredible, professional, warm, and so easy to communicate with. Her response time is fast, and she’s always flexible and accommodating when it comes to scheduling or any last minute changes. One thing that stood out to us early on was her attention to detail before the session even begins. She takes the time to go over everything, from theme ideas and color coordination to suggested poses and even little details you might not think of. It’s clear how much thought and care she puts into every shoot. On the day of our sessions, she made us feel completely at ease. My husband and I both get a little camera-shy, but she’s so easy to talk to and genuinely fun to be around that it felt more like spending time with a friend than posing for photos. She listened carefully when we mentioned things to be mindful of, like my bald spot and certain angles that flatter me more and she handled all of it with such grace and sensitivity. And then there’s the magic she worked with our dogs! We have two girls who are full of energy and not always cooperative, but somehow she captured them perfectly, their personalities shine through in every shot. The bloopers were super fun to see as well! Beyond her talent and professionalism, what makes Karmen extra special is her background as a veteran. It’s clear that her discipline, dedication, and strong work ethic carry through into her photography. Her gallery of past work is stunning, it was what first drew us in and now we’re so proud to have our family photos added to that same beautiful body of work.
